July 21st. Group collects at our London hotel for a Welcome
reception and dinner.
July 22nd. Morning city bus tour with lunch at the Sherlock
Holmes Pub. Afternoon, Thames boat ride to the Greenwich
“Mean Time” Museum. Return to London. Dinner (and maybe
theater) on your own.
July 23rd. Bus to the Imperial War Museum for the morning
and the afternoon at the Royal Air Force Hendon Base “Battle
of Britain” Museum. Dinner back at our hotel.
July 24th. Bus to Bletchley Park (code breaking deciphering
center) and on to Cambridge hotel check-in followed by a
walking tour and dinner.
July 25th. Tour to Madingley US Cemetery and Bugleweed
(Shuttleworth Aircraft Collection), lunch and return to
Cambridge for a little free time. Dinner at the hotel.
July 26th. Bus to Seething Airfield Museum. To Fliton and the
Norfolk/Suffolk Aviation Museum. A pub lunch. Dinner on your
own.
July 27th. A full day at the Duxford Airfield Museum. (Used
for the “Battle of Britain” movie). Hotel dinner.
July 28th. Check out and return to London. Visit the British
cruiser HMS Belfast, the Prime Minister Churchill Cabinet War
Rooms, Royal Air Force Uxbridge Air Base “Battle of Britain”
central command headquarters. Arrive at Gatwick Airport hotel
for our Farewell Dinner.
July 29th. Group departs to their respective destinations.
